Invitation to a Stakeholder day in Kiel, Germany


A Baltic Slurry Acidification stakeholder day will be held on Thursday September 27, 2018 at Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.

The aim of the day is to present slurry acidification techniques and the benefits of slurry acidification.

09:00 – 09:30   Welcome and introduction to slurry acidification (Erik Sindhöj, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden)

09:30 – 09:45    First results of field trials in Germany (Sebastian Neumann, LLUR) 

09:45 – 10:00    Presentation of a new project: GülleBest (Dr. Thorsten Reinsch, CAU Kiel)  

10:00 – 10:20     Coffee and networking 

10:20 – 10:40    Policy recommendations for supporting slurry acidification technology  (Henning Lyngsø Foged, Organe Institute ApS) 

10:40 – 11:00     Assessing the potential for voluntary adoption of SATs: insights from a choice experiment with German farmers (Prof. Dr. Uwe Latacz-Lohmann, CAU Kiel)

The participants will be taken to and from the farm by bus. The program includes a meal and presentations of the farm, field trials and in-field technology.
