Coming up: Agri-environmental knowledge conference in Jyväskylä, Finland

The Exchange days for Agri-Environmental knowledge is a two-day conference held in Jyväskylä, Finland on February 12th and 13th, 2019.

The aim of the conference is to increase the efficiency of agro-environmental work in the Baltic Sea Region through sharing the newest knowledge, exchanging experiences and facilitating networking among professionals, experts and researchers. During the first day, plenary and workshops are held in Finnish only, but international participants will present at the Project Fair and attend the cocktail event and the dinner in the evening.  The second day is international, with participants and speakers from all around the Baltic Sea Region. The conference is organized by the Finnish Ministry of Environment and the Finnish Ministry of agriculture and forestry, together with the Rural Network. The Exchange days Agro-Environmental knowledge is a concept that proved to be successful when it was first tried in Naantali two years ago. Now the Exchange days are back, with the added second day held entirely in English.

Baltic Slurry Acidification will be presented at the conference by project leader Erik Sindhöj from RISE and the new project platform SuMaNu, where Baltic Slurry Acidification is one of four participating projects, will be presented by Minna Sarvi from LUKE. SuMaNu gathers and synthesises best practices and recommendations on nutrient management from not only from its participating projects but also agro-environmental projects run during the previous Interreg Programme period.
